The tickets and prices in Lappeenranta region public transport
The Waltti ticket and payment system is in use in the Lappeenranta region's public transport area.
The Lappeenranta region has 3 public transport zones.
Zone A, Lappeenranta local transport area
Zone D, Imatra local transport area
Zone B, other public transport area (B+C)
Single tickets
You can buy single paper tickets from the bus driver with cash, Visa or MasterCard. Single ticket is valid for 90 minutes and you are able to transfer within the zone(s) the ticket is valid in. Please see the zones in Jouko Journey Planner.

Mobile ticket
You can buy mobile tickets for Lappeenranta public transport from the PayiQ tickets app, Matkahuolto's Routes and Tickets app and OnniBus's Bus Ticket Shop.
Mobile tickets are valid from the moment of purchase. Show the QR code of your mobile ticket to the validator when you board the bus.

Jouko travel card
If you ride the bus often, or even just occasionally, the cheapest option is to buy a Jouko travel card. You can top up your card with a period ticket or with value (i.e. money) to pay for individual journeys. The card costs 5 euros.
Value tickets
To buy a value ticket you need a Jouko travel card with some money. All value tickets are valid for 90 minutes and include the possibility to transfer within the zones you have paid for. Silent time prices are valid on workdays after 17:30, on weekends and on National Holidays.
Senior citizens have silent time discount prices also on workdays 9–14.

Period tickets

90 days season ticket (summer ticket)
90 days summer season ticket is sold from 1st May to 15st June and it is valid 90 days from the first validation but no longer than to 30th September.
